Support Jenny’s challenge to leave MS behind!
My name is Jenny and I’m a MS warrior. 🧡
On 22nd December 2025, I presented to the Medical Assessment Unit in the Bons Secours in Cork with a numb sensation on the right side of my face and felt pressure on my right eye. Originally, it was thought to be caused by a virus, but after a several Brain and Spine MRIs and a Lumbar Puncture, I received confirmation on 21st January 2026 and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
My symptoms worsened and I began experiencing numbness/weakness in my right arm and leg and also had a fluttering noise in my right ear.
I currently have 5 lesions on the right side of my brain.
On 23rd March, I received my first Ocrevus Subcutaneous Infusion in St Veronica’s Ward in the Bon Secours, Cork.
I am very lucky to have some very experienced and knowledgable medical experts by my side throughout this journey. My mom Val who is a practice nurse, my GP Don Creagh, my neurologist Prof Brian Sweeney and my neurology nurse Anne Grover.
We're taking part in The May 50K. We will be taking on 50km throughout May and leaving our limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis, better access to treatments and to support people living with MS in Ireland!
There are over 10,000 people in Ireland living with MS and we need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.
Money raised is split between the work of MS Ireland and the MS International Federation.
You can now support this work in Ireland and around the World. We've accepted The May 50K challenge to be an active part of the change.
Please make a donation towards our fundraiser today and support our team challenge. Thank you for your support!
