Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K. I will be taking on 50km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis, better access to treatments and to support people living with MS in Ireland!

There are over 10,000 people in Ireland living with multiple sclerosis. At the MS International Federation and MS Ireland, it’s our mission to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

You can now support this work in Ireland and around the world, so I’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to change lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge.

Thank you so much!

My Updates

Half way

This week has been consistently inconsistent. My back went into spasm as the weekend so had to take afew rest days. That said I got back out there on Thursday and have been pounding the pavements since. Thank you to Kris and his canine companion Mable for keeping me company yesterday morning. Today was a brunch meet up with Marta under the shade of oak trees. So I'm half way there and a little over €100 short of my €3000 goal with plenty of time to hit it. Thank you again for the continued support. X

Fatigued but encouraged!

Shattered today and the day has barely started. The joys of chronic fatigue. Nerve pain is acting up but I know it will reduce again I just need to be patient. So today ill integrate a walk with my 'must do/can't cancel' errand before I take a rest for the majority of today. 21km achieved in 7 days is a huge achievement for me so I'm delighted with that progress. But you guys have completely surpassed yourselves with €2770 raised in just one week. Thank you so much for all your lovely messages of support and encouragement you are all amazing.

Walking for my supper!!

I'm new blogging so forgive me if my updates are very mundane. This bank holiday Monday Dave  i walked into town to meet friends for a late lunch. It was lovely to be in the city in the sunshine. Ordinarily this is too long a walk for me but today we took it slowly and were on the watch for impromptu rest stops that might help break it up in the future. There is a dismal selection of benches on the route but the odd handy window sill that I've now got ear marked!

Overwhelmed by your support

Well my May 50km challenge has well and truly begun. 3km walked today in Limerick around the Baggot Estate in the glorious sunshine with Dave. Thank you to everyone for your support to date. You have all been so generous I have had to increase my target from €500 to €1000! You are all amazing.
